VIROTAXI
Project abstract: Light sensitive carbon quantum dots (CQDs), a new class of carbon nanomaterials, will be tested as a potential virus inhibitor. They will be synthesized by green bottom-up method from different carbon precursors to check the effect of surface passivation and doping on their antiviral activity. The underlying mechanisms of CQDs sensing and killing of viruses will be discussed.
